Melbourne’s Regent Theatre reopened in January, and is looking more splendid than ever. Lovell Chen commissioned a new set of photographs to mark the completion of the replanning, structural alterations and refurbishment project for the Marriner Group — not that it’s easy to spot changes.
The works focused on sustaining the future of the building as a working venue for international-standard live threatre. The most spectacular intervention is the extension of the full-width Dress Circle balcony 3.7m towards the stage. More on this project >
