The new Hilton Melbourne Little Queen Street has won Best Hotel Design in this year’s Eat Drink Design Awards. Congratulations to the whole team involved in the project to adapt and expand Melbourne’s Equity Chambers building (472 Bourke Street) for Hilton.
The facade of the 1930s commercial building and 30m of building depth, including the main ground floor chamber, are now part of the hotel following conservation works led by Lovell Chen. The wider project is designed by Bates Smart and includes a six-level rooftop extension and new 17-storey tower.
