As part of our commitment to sustainability and finding ways to improve the spaces we all work in, we collaborated with Buckford Illumination Group to implement a Human Centric Lighting approach to the illumination of our own offices, using ERCO’s Iku LED luminaires.

Human Centric Lighting is a planning strategy. As ERCO says, it puts “people and their requirements at the centre of lighting design”. It addresses the visual, emotional and biological effects of light, plus visual criteria such as the specific tasks and room orientation. It has transformed our environment, formerly dependent on fluorescent lighting.
ERCO has defined a “Triple A” approach : Architecture (lighting vertical surfaces to support the perception of space), Activity (glare control and light where it’s needed) and Atmosphere (mimicking exterior daylights states to match circadian rhythms).
