Michael is a registered landscape architect. His background is in urban design and infrastructure planning, as well as environmental management and ecology, infrastructure and industrial heritage, and twentieth century architecture and urban space. He regularly contributes to public discourse at university level and in professional seminars. He has delivered high profile lectures, and led workshops, local walking tours and roundtables, and he continues longstanding artistic and research engagements with topics in ecology and environmental history.
