In 2003, we undertook careful, sympathetic upgrading and conservation of the building to provide modern facilities — updating the services and technology, bringing the building up to current statutory standards and providing for the sports tackled by today’s students.
Our work included the complete refurbishment of the pool and provision of a new gymnasium and program areas, a new lift and disabled access. As with many University works involving state registered heritage buildings, the project began with a conservation management plan to provide direction.
