We have an exciting stream of work ahead for 2018 and are looking for a highly motivated heritage consultant to join the heritage team in our East Melbourne office.
This role will provide technical input into historical heritage assessments, impact assessments and management plans, as well as supporting the management and delivery of a wide range of heritage projects, both in Victoria and nationally. The role will be integral in the development and management of client relationships. The role also provides the opportunity to mentor heritage staff within the team and has excellent potential for career development.
You will hold an honours or postgraduate degree in a relevant field (e.g., architecture, history, planning, heritage management, archaeology). You will also have a minimum of 5-7 years’ consulting experience with a focus on historical heritage (or the equivalent level of experience in government), and have the following key knowledge and skills …
— Excellent written and verbal communication skills
— Demonstrated ability to complete heritage projects in a timely manner, within budget, and to a high standard
— Comprehensive technical knowledge of – and experience with – state and territory-based and Commonwealth heritage legislation and associated guidelines, the Burra Charter and other relevant documents
— Demonstrated ability to independently manage the delivery of heritage projects and services
— Demonstrated ability to provide heritage advice and guidance to clients and fellow team members and to operate within the relevant legislative and statutory frameworks
— Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment and in a collaborative manner
— Demonstrated ability in developing relationships with existing and new clients
— Demonstrated experience in the preparation of proposals and bids for heritage projects
