BUSINESS CONTINUITY AND THE CORONAVIRUS

A message from Lovell Chen
January 2022

To all our valued clients and collaborators

As we embark on the third year of the pandemic with an evolving set of challenges and conditions relating to COVID-19 we acknowledge the ongoing impacts on our daily lives and the toll these extract from each of us.

Each member of our team is, as always, endeavouring to meet project programmes and expectations; however, we ask for your understanding should there need to be some flexibility and renegotiation of deadlines where they are unavoidably impacted by the current restraints.

Please do not hesitate to contact the project team leader or myself should you have any questions or concerns.

Our ongoing actions in response to the Coronavirus situation

We are committed to the safety and wellbeing of our employees, clients, contractors, consultants and members of the public.

In accordance with the advice and guidance issued by Federal and State health authorities, we have in place a COVIDSafe Plan and we have implemented protective initiatives to respond to the presence of coronavirus (COVID-19), both as precautionary measures and as a proactive response to minimise potential health risks and business impacts.

We continue to monitor the situation and update our initiatives as required.

HEALTH AND HYGIENE

We have implemented the recommended precautions to reduce the risk of infection, and ask our staff to respect and follow the guidance at all times.
— Sign-in using QR code
— Carry a face mask at all times and wear a face mask in settings where face masks are required
— Wash hands or use hand sanitiser regularly
— Cover coughs and sneezes
— Avoid shaking hands
— Get tested if exhibiting symptoms

In addition, staff attending building sites are required to wear disposable gloves and to clean equipment regularly.

VACCINATION

We comply with requirements as specified by the Government in relation to the construction industry, including:
— Sighting the COVID-19 vaccination records of staff
— Maintaining and keeping-current a register of staff who have been vaccinated against COVID-19
— Ensuring that we comply with requirements for staff to be vaccinated against COVID-19 where they are required to provide services at a construction site

TRAVEL

Travel to sites must be via a mode of transport where we maintain all social distancing and hygiene protocols, including wearing a face mask when on public transport, in taxis, ride shares or other commercial passenger vehicles.

Travel interstate is subject to the Victorian Government regulations and the permit system in place at the time for the specific State.

SITE ATTENDANCE

Attendance to site is subject to the regulations in place at the time of the intended visit.

Our staff are not allowed to attend our office, building sites or have face-to-face meetings or conduct inspections if they are not well or are exhibiting Coronavirus symptoms. They are required to check prior to their visit to site that there are no exclusions in place that would prohibit attendance, and to abide by all COVID-19Safe Plan requirements established for the site. We ensure that staff undertake RAT tests prior to attendance to site if this is required.

WORKING FROM HOME

We have full flexibility for employees to work from home in response to Government-imposed snap lockdowns, or work between the office and home based on the limitations established by the current regulations. Our employees are accessible by phone, email, MSTeams or Zoom in either location. Direct dial office numbers are diverted to the individual’s mobile.
