ANITA BRADY
Associate Director Anita Brady is a professional historian with post-graduate qualifications in cultural heritage management. She has been involved in cultural heritage practice in both the public and private sectors in Victoria for over twenty years.
Anita Brady Her experience includes heritage planning in local
and state contexts, hands-on responsibility for the management of heritage places on public land and the assessment of proposals to adapt, reuse or develop heritage places, including major heritage sites.
Anita also has high level experience in strategic planning and policy development for heritage places. She was principal author of the Victorian Heritage Council's Victorian Heritage Strategy (May 2000), and Secretary to the Heritage Council's Policy & Protocols Committee.
More recently, she has authored reports on heritage matters for planning panels, prepared expert witness statements, and given expert evidence before planning appeals tribunals and planning panels. She has published extensively on cultural heritage matters.
Anita leads a multi-disciplinary team with expertise in architecture, archaeology,
history and planning. The team produces a variety of heritage reports and outputs, from heritage impact statements and conservation management plans to municipal heritage studies, heritage appraisals, submissions to panels and hearings, and heritage interpretation reports.

Anita is managing the roll-out of the AUSTRALIA POST NATIONAL HERITAGE STRATEGY, which includes a national survey of Australia Post properties.
She has also contributed to master plans for Victoria Park in Abbotsford and Commonwealth land at Point Nepean, and undertaken heritage appraisals of industrial sites and institutional complexes across Melbourne.
